Nobel prize in chemistry goes to cryo-electron microscopy!

The Nobel prize in chemistry this year distinguishes Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank and Richard Henderson as creators of the cutting-edge technique in structural biology cryo-electron microscopy.

In 2014 Richard Henderson, who is professor at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge and have worked with Max F. Perutz, was a guest speaker in Vienna at “Crossing Frontiers in Life Sciences” symposium. The event took place on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Max F. Perutz.
